The Basic Cable Hat from Stitch & Bitch Nation, knitted on size 8 bamboo dpns with Cashmere Luxury Aran (seems to be available only at A.C. Moore). My only complaint is that the yarn turned my needles kind of orange.
This was Paul's requested birthday present, and he's been wearing it for a few curling matches already. I am so pleased with the hat, and I've already gotten requests for more. I wouldn't mind one myself!

I was playing with cables last night and would like to start with this hat, like you had suggested. Was this a free pattern? Can it be re-sized for a kiddo?
