I finished something!

Pattern: knitty's Coronet

Yarn: Paton's Classic Wool Merino (100% wool) in aran, natural mix, and taupe - probably about 100g total, but it was all leftover yarn from the graphic bag.

Needles: Size 8 (5mm) Clover bamboo 7" double-pointed needles

Alterations: I did 13 repeats of the cable instead of 16 and it's still too big for my head, so there might be a gauge issue here. Also, the color changes were just my invention.

I don't know who this is going to. I don't need another hat. Also, no one seems to be able to agree if this is a boy hat, girl hat, or unisex hat. Thoughts?

I love the hat! I think it is a girl hat... That's just me.

So, how was Turkey Day with the fam? Ours was good and we ate too much.

I think the hat is WONDERFUL. Hey, I got a horrible whole in my scarf. I have no idea what happened. I will take pictures to show today. I don't think it can be helped, I just knitted past it, got back to 11 stitches and am rocking and rolling again. :)

I love the hat and the inspired color changes.

Yes, I am a geologist, too. I fell for my sweetie over a particularly large outcrop of Pennsylvania limestones. Love rocks (very bad pun very much intended).
